Here are some things that I did, ...Go Mamacita Go!<br /><br />Here are some things that I did, and found (still find) incredibly helpful! Everything is written just randomly as it pops into my head... <br /><br />First and foremost, set small goals...Im still doing this...ultimately I wanted to get to the ideal weight for my height (146lbs), once I hit that my goals didnt stop there...just 5 more lbs here, 2lbs more there, tone this, tone that...Im not sure Ill ever be done,my whole life style has changed...<br /><br />Drop fast food, drop it all together...Learn as many gross facts as you can about it if you have too.... I never really felt good after eating fast food, so if I ever got the urge, I would just focus on how crappy I'd feel when I was done... I'll steal a french fry from someone here and there, but I dont miss their burgers or nuggets one bit! The way I feel when Im done... its a waste of calories, in my opinion...<br /><br />Cut your portions in half... LITERALLY...pack the other half for lunch tomorrow, or wrap it to go, put it in the fridge, or just throw the other half away... (I do this more times then I should...but once its gone I CANT eat it...) <br />Try and eat your veggie or a salad first, so that you need LESS of your meat, potato or pasta to feel FULL.<br /><br />Dont deprive yourelf, if there is something you really want...take a few bites and get rid of it...order a small, or have it made with SKIM MILK and SPLENDA... Its not the same, but it will satisfy your craving...<br /><br />DONT BUY THE SNACKS...The only "junk" I keep in the house or things that RJ likes (and I dont like)- Im not tempted by the mini oreos or pizza goldfish-so I wont eat them...If the junk isnt in the house; then you can't eat it ;)<br /><br />I swear by weight watchers...I use their books as a GUIDE; I have never EVER attended a meeting...<br /><br />I pretty much eat the same boring things for breakfast and lunch daily, I dont LOVE it... but I feel full and I save my calories (or points) for a more enjoyable dinner :)<br /><br />My biggest downfall is probably ice cream and candy... I substitue my Reeses sundae from friendlys for a small sugar free vanilla frozen yogurt with crushed butterfinger at TCBY- its not the same but it fufills my craving!<br /><br />If I want candy.... Ill go to 7-11 buy a kit-kat and then take the 4 sticks and give 2 or 3 away... (Rj and Ryan are usually happy to accept my donation)Again, the 1-2 pieces I eat fufill me and even if I want more...there is no more to be had!<br /><br />As far as excercise goes, I dont belong to a gym...I dont have money for it... I bought some tae-bo DVD's; did that a few times but most of my excercise comes from the kids... If I overendulge for dinner, I take the kids to the park and ask RJ to race me, or we'll play tag...Ill take Brayd for a walk in the stroller, or ride bikes w/ Rj... Walk the mall...or when I go to the store I park in a really far parking spot- I find ways to fit it in... I try and take a Zumba class once a week...and I love it; I got friends from work to join me, and when we mess up we laugh at ourseleves. If you love to dance, I highly rec'd a GOOD zumba class... I looks forward to the ME time, and the laughs... Warning...you will sweat your ass off! (literally :) )<br /><br />As I think of more, Ill add...<br />Good luck, you can do it!!!
